Director of Finance – Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Role Overview
The Director of Finance, FP&A is responsible for leading forecasting and analysis of cash flow forecasting, foreign currency needs, and Air COGS (cost of goods sold) in Grand Circle’s Financial Planning & Analysis team. This position will drive insight, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making across finance, accounting, and operations. The ideal candidate is both highly analytical and collaborative, with the ability to partner across functions and geographies to ensure accurate forecasting and effective cost management.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Flow & Forecasting
Own forecasting and analysis of company-wide cash flow, partnering closely with Accounting to track and analyze cash receipts and disbursements.
Maintain a rolling 12-18 month cash flow forecast model, providing accurate weekly updates to leadership.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to cash position and liquidity.
Foreign Currency Needs & Hedging
Partner with Regional Finance Managers overseas to consolidate and maintain a rolling 24–30 month foreign currency needs forecast model.
Develop recommendations on foreign currency contract purchases and sales partnering with Treasury on execution of hedging strategies, balancing business needs with risk management.
Provide insights on the impact of currency fluctuations on financial results and purchasing strategies.
Air COGS & Operations Support
Analyze air cost of goods sold (Air COGS), including overall air cost forecasting, air cost savings, and air penetration rates (percentage of customers purchasing air through Grand Circle).
Collaborate with Air Operations to identify actions that optimize pricing strategies and minimize overall air costs.
Deliver actionable reporting and insights to improve air cost management & efficiency and customer pricing strategies.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Serve as a key partner to Accounting, Regional Finance teams, and Air Operations.
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
Contribute to ongoing enhancements in forecasting models, processes, and reporting tools.
Support FP&A monthly forecast cycle, partnering with business owners to validate key assumptions and drivers of the P&L.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in FP&A leadership.
Experience in cash flow forecasting, currency management, and cost analysis a plus, but not required.
Experience partnering with operational leaders and international finance teams, and building positive working relationships with people and teams across a diverse organization.
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills; must have strong Excel skills. Essbase and Tableau are not required, but a plus.
Strong critical thinking skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to distill complex information into clear insight.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to summarize key points and translate complex data into actionable recommendations for senior management.
Strong business acumen and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables, balancing both short-term and long-term objectives through effective prioritization.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
