Senior Program Manager - Infrastructure

Overview

Grand Circle Travel is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Program Manager to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of IT infrastructure and security initiatives, ensuring projects are executed on time, on budget, and aligned with business priorities. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge of IT systems and networks with proven program management expertise and the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.

As a trusted partner to Infrastructure leadership and business stakeholders, you’ll oversee project intake, prioritization, and execution, balancing structure with adaptability to keep teams focused and effective. You’ll provide transparency through clear metrics and reporting, highlight top initiatives to senior leadership, and coach teams on best practices and collaboration. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys driving clarity, resolving roadblocks, and delivering meaningful business outcomes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Program Oversight & Intake:

  • Develop and maintain a standardized project intake and prioritization process to ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Evaluate new project requests and balance demand against team capacity and strategic priorities.

  • Remain flexible to adjust priorities as business and technology needs evolve.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for business stakeholders submitting infrastructure-related project requests.

Stakeholder Management & Communication:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to gather requirements, set expectations, and provide transparency into project progress.

  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and shared understanding.

  • Provide regular reporting on project portfolio health, risks, and performance.

Project & Resource Management:

  • Partner with Infrastructure leadership to schedule and allocate resources across multiple concurrent initiatives.

  • Identify and resolve potential bottlenecks, dependencies, and risks that may impact delivery.

  • Ensure team members can focus on critical projects without overextension.

  • Adapt project approaches as necessary to support team bandwidth and shifting priorities.


Technical Understanding & Support:

  • Possess working knowledge and understanding of core IT Infrastructure concepts such as the following to effectively communicate and prioritize initiatives:

  • Networking

  • Server storage principles and practices

  • Call center phone systems

  • System upgrades and critical systems lifecycle management

  • Cloud infrastructure environments and services

  • Cybersecurity practices such as vulnerability management, compliance reporting, and penetration testing


Governance & Best Practices:

  • Define and guide the program on standards, tools, and best practices.

  • Drive continuous improvement of processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.

  • Support Infrastructure leadership in compliance audits, system upgrades, and security initiatives.

  • Remain adaptable to incorporate feedback and adjust processes as the team’s needs change.


Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably within IT or Infrastructure.

  • Proven track record of managing complex technology programs across distributed teams.

  • Familiarity with IT Infrastructure concepts such as networking, telephony, cloud infrastructure, security, compliance, and enterprise systems.

  • Familiarity with SLA reporting, networking, infrastructure as code and security projects

  • Familiarity with ISO-27001/2, PCI compliance, and ITIL

  • Experience coordinating or supporting regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.

  • Experience running AI initiatives is a plus
